About Stacie
I first gained experience in the beauty industry by working as a receptionist at a local salon in the early 1990’s while attending college to become a guidance counselor. At some point, I began to realize my true passion was standing behind a chair, not sitting behind a desk. I was able to gain experience with managing the scheduling of all appointments and keeping things clean and organized for the stylists who worked there. I decided to begin my education at Ohio State Beauty Academy in Lima, Ohio and finished at Carousel Beauty College in Dayton, Ohio. After obtaining my license, I completed a one year apprenticeship program at an exclusive Aveda concept salon in Kettering, Ohio which gave me an opportunity to gain experience in cutting, coloring and styling hair of all types. After moving on to a couple of other salons in the Dayton area, I decided to move back to the Defiance area and have had the opportunity to work with some awesome stylists and meet some very good friends/clients.
Over the years, I’ve been able to work with several different color lines- Redken, Schwarzkopf, Wella, and Scruples, just to name a few. I’ve recently began using a new color line called OYA that has given some amazing results. I love learning about the latest trends in all areas of the hair industry, but my true passion has always been color. I love having the opportunity to transform someone into a “look” that they never thought they could achieve. I insist on always cutting the hair in a way to complement the color to provide the guest with an overall fresh new appearance. It’s also very important to me to communicate with every person who sits in my chair and to educate them on the products and techniques I use while styling their hair so that they may be able to duplicate the look at home.
